Cubism and Pointillism

Cubism and pointillism are two very unique styles of art. Cubism is kind of what it sounds. It was created in the early 20th century and is based on geometrical figures. Pointillism is where you use a lot of small distinct dots to create a detailed picture. Georges Seurat and Paul Signac started this technique in 1886. Pointillism was coined in the late 1880’s by art critics. It was mocked in the past but now it is a respectable art style. Cubism was co created by Pablo Picasso and George Baraque. It revolutionized a lot of art styles. Sculpting, painting, even music, literature and architecture. It was very influential.  In the pointillism technique you use the color you want, and the two colors that make that color and use them to create shades and tint. Sometimes you have to mix black or white in. I find the pointillism technique very interesting. Its like pixels but with dots! its cute and soft instead of the cubism technique which is hard and sharp. But theres nothing wrong with that!
